5,000 illegal immigrants released every day into US, admin officials privately tell lawmakers

UNIVERSAL: Fox News has uncovered that nearly 670,000 illegal aliens eluded Border Patrol during the previous fiscal year, despite the Biden administration telling legislators that about 5,000 illegal immigrants are currently being released into the country every day at the border.

During a briefing on Friday for the House and Senate Homeland Security, Judiciary, and Arizona congressional delegations, Fox is informed that representatives from the Department of Homeland Security informed lawmakers that approximately 670,000 individuals were identified as “gotaways” at the border in the previous fiscal year. Alejandro Mayorkas, the secretary of DHS, had already admitted that the figure exceeded 600,000.

Legislators have also been informed that non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who aid migrants and occasionally assist them in reaching their destinations, release 5,000 illegal immigrants on a daily average. Over 1.8 million illegal immigrants would have entered the country during that period if that rate is maintained for the entire year.

Meanwhile, using the CBP One app, an average of 1,600 migrants are processed and freed from the ports of entry each day through the use of humanitarian parole. Congress has established that authority, which it may employ “case-by-case” for critical humanitarian needs or noteworthy public benefits. Republicans have attempted to restrict the use of the power, alleging that the administration is abusing it, a claim that administration representatives have consistently refuted.

Lawmakers were informed that Border Patrol personnel have come across immigrants from more than 150 nations.

This week, more than 12,000 migrants crossed the border in one day, shattering the daily record for encounters. Following an all-time monthly high of over 260,000 in September and a record-breaking 2.4 million encounters in FY23, this is the latest information. Since the current fiscal year started on October 1, there have been more than 440,000 interactions, according to officials.
