The White House said unless Congress decides to authorize additional funding and support, there is “no money and little time” to provide more weapons to Ukraine as it tries to thwart a Russian invasion.
The warning, issued in a letter to congressional leaders on Monday, outlines that the administration has spent about $111 billion on military aid to Ukraine.
Directress of the Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young wrote a letter that was partially published by The Hill. “I want to be clear: without congressional action, by the end of the year we will run out of resources to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine and to provide equipment from US military stocks,” Young wrote.

The most recent request for funding comes after the White House, claiming that it “advances our national security and supports our allies and partners,” asked Congress to take action on a $100 billion supplemental funding request in October.
